Now Hear This: Friday, Nov. 1

The annual downtown Lewisburg Stroll Through the Arts gets under way tonight with artwork of all mediums displayed in more than 30 venues from 6-10 p.m. On Saturday night, the musical side of art is celebrated.

Start earlier — Alf Bashore will be playing the dulcimer at Brews N Bytes, Lower Mulberry Street, Danville, for the lunch crowd, from noon-2 p.m. If you miss it, go next week — it’s a regular Friday event.

Later on, Kimbo and Bryan perform as a strong acoustic duet at The Scarlet D, 264 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.  They start playing all your favorites at 9 p.m.

The Jay Vonada Trio will be at Green Drake Art Gallery, 101B W. Main St., Millheim, from 7-8:30 p.m. There is nothing like live jazz music.

Elsewhere, Jeff Brown is at The Berwick Brewery from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Ricky and Harv will be at McGuigan’s from 6:30-8:30 p.m. While in Sunbury, you might also want to pop over to The Route 61 Roadhouse in the Market House and see Greg Snyder. He starts playing at 9 p.m.

Send news about music and venues to Terry Baylor  ( by 5 p.m. on Monday for inclusion in Thursday’s “Now Here This.” Photos always welcome
