— LEWISBURG — The True Believers Tour will make a stop at Bucknell University for an April 11 show.

The tour features Darius Rucker as the headlining act with The Eli Young Band, and Corey Smith as opening act.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for Bucknell students, and $35 general admission. Tickets can be purchased online at the Campus Box Office or by calling (570) 577-1000.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Jan. 29.

Tickets are available in person from three locations: the Barnes & Noble at Bucknell University bookstore in downtown Lewisburg weekdays and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12:30 to 4 p.m.; the Weis Center Box Office in the Weis Center lobby Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and the CAPS Center Box Office located on the ground floor of the Elaine Langone Center Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Darius Rucker started out in the music industry as front man and rhythm guitarist for the multi-platinum record selling band Hootie & the Blowfish. After crossing genres from rock to bluegrass and country, he has earned a whole new fanbase.

In 2013, Rucker covered Old Crow Medicine’s “Wagon Wheel”, featured on his album “True Believers.” The song shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country chart and has been nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for this year’s Grammy Awards.

Joining Rucker on the tour, the Eli Young Band has emerged from nights performing in small clubs to larger venues, performing for thousands of people. The group earned their first platinum record with 2013’s “Crazy Girl,” from their album “Life at Best.”

Corey Smith will open the tour. Smith focuses on writing about the country through lyrics, and not just through country stereotypes like trucks and bonfires. His music is about his experiences away from the big city. He has released seven studio albums, including 2011’s “The Broken Record.”
