— Hannah Bingman, Van Wagner and Grain will perform at Pennsylvania Forest Fest being held at The Arboretum at Penn State.  It will be a fun filled day for all ages beginning at 10 a.m. Complete information available at ecosystems.psu.edu/pa-forest-fest.

Red Halo, Hard Knocks, Kill Scheme and Aftermath will perform at Ye Olde Meeting Place on Route 405 north of Milton for the Wounded Warrior barbecue cook-off fund raiser. Gates open at noon and the music goes from 1-6:30 p.m.  Stop in and say hello — I’ll be one of the judges. For more details, see the story on the event in today’s Applause section.

Pianist Sezi Seskir will be at the Weis Center at Bucknell at 2 p.m. to inaugurate the newly-restored 1920 Steinway & Son’s grand piano that is in the lobby. An elegant dessert reception will follow the performance. This is another free event offered by the center.

Burgess, Mitchell and Seal continue to host the weekly Jazz Brunch at the Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport from noon to 4 and Spike Stamm and Smooth Country host their weekly open mic at the Shamokin Dam fire company from 3-6.

The Frank Wicher Band will shake things up at Skeeters Pit BBQ in Shamokin Dam. This is the first show of the winter schedule. The music starts at 5.  If Mother Nature cooperates, the show will be held outside.

Please send news about music and venues to Terry Baylor  (terrilm62@yahoo.com) by 5 p.m. on Monday for inclusion in Thursday’s “Now Here This.” Photos always welcome
