Paul R. Bowersox, 80, McClure
McCLURE -- Paul R. Bowersox, 80, of McClure and Roselle, N.J., passed away at 1 p.m., July 2, 2009, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, where he had resided for the past year.
He was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Decatur Township, Mifflin County, a son of the late Harry J. and Effie (Romig) Bowersox.
He was a member of Wagner United Methodist Church.
Paul served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1981, he retired from Monsanto Plastics Corp. after many years as a supervisor.
He enjoyed working in his orchard, hunting and deep-sea fishing.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald and Judy Bowersox of Middleburg, David and Ann Bowersox of Selinsgrove, and Michael and his companion, Betty, of McClure; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Clair Bowersox of Enola, and Archie and Gloria Bowersox of Lewistown; one sister, Gladys M. "Sue" Weader of Lewistown; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Bickel and Victoria Bowersox, in infancy; and four brothers, Ralph, Harry, Theodore and Charles Bowersox .
The family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Monday at Wagner United Methodist Church, U.S. Highway N. 522, McClure, followed by the funeral at 9 a.m. with Pastor Steve Swigart officiating.
The interment will be in the Wagner Church Cemetery.
