Magdalena M. Zimmerman, 64, Mifflinburg



MIFFLINBURG -- Magdalena "Lena" M. (Oberholtzer) Zimmerman, 64, of 11900 State Route 304, entered into rest at 8:41 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2009, at her residence after an illness for the past two weeks.

She was born Sept. 5, 1944, in West Earl Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Clayton L. and Annie B. (Martin) Oberholtzer. She was united in marriage on Jan. 13, 1966, in West Earl Township, to Esra M. Zimmerman, who survives.

Lena was a member of the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, Millmont.

Lena is survived by the following children and their spouses: Reuben and Nora Zimmerman of Millmont, Mary Ella and Nathan Hoover of Elkton, Ky., Esra and Anna Mary Zimmerman of Winfield, Amos and Mary Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Lydia Zimmerman at home, Menno and Elaine H. Zimmerman of Millmont, David and Priscilla H. Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Ammon and Mary Joy Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Ivan Zimmerman at home, Lena Zimmerman at home, Clayton and Lucinda Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Verna and Amos Hoover of Mifflinburg, Elmer Zimmerman at home, and Martha Zimmerman at home; 52 grandchildren; her siblings, Samuel Oberholtzer of Ephrata, Anna Mary Nolt of New Holland, Amos Oberholtzer of Mifflinburg, Benjamin Oberholtzer of Shiloh, Ohio, Henry Oberholtzer of Mifflinburg, John Oberholtzer of Mifflinburg, Miriam Martin of Walnut Bottom, Reuben Oberholtzer of Ephrata, Alvin Oberholtzer of Shiloh, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Nolt.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Esra Zimmerman residence, 11900 State Route 304, Mifflinburg and at 9:45 a.m. at Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, 274 Kaiser Run Road, Millmont. Officiating will be Bishop Levi N. Martin, Phares L. Zimmerman, Amos W. Nolt and Lloyd Zimmerman

Visitors will be received by the family from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Zimmerman residence and prior to the time of service.

The family is being served by the Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Service, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
