Beatrice N. Wynn, 95, Selinsgrove

SELINSGROVE -- Beatrice N. Wynn, 95, died on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009.
She was born Oct. 28, 1914, a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Susan E. (Wickenheiser) White.
Beatrice graduated from John Harris High School, Harrisburg, and worked at Bowman's Department Store in Harrisburg for seven years.
She married Andrew Jackson Wynn on April 14, 1940, and moved to California during the war years. After World War II, they moved to Kansas City, where Jack was employed by TWA airlines until his retirement in 1970.
Bea was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star, Gladiola Chapter 459, in Kansas City, and did volunteer work with the BlueBirds, Camp Fire Girls, Job's Daughters and the American Red Cross.
Bea and Jack returned to Snyder County in 1970, where Bea remained active in volunteer work. Jack died on April 25, 1987, and Bea subsequently resided in the Pennsfield Apartments in Selinsgrove for nearly 20 years and moved to GraysonView in Selinsgrove, in the spring of 2008.
Bea was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove, for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Whitley, one grandson, Christopher J. Whitley, and two great-grand-daughters.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Christ United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove.
