William A. Fosselman, 78, Cocolamus
COCOLAMUS -- William A. "Bill" Fosselman, 78, of Cocolamus, died at 4:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the Lewistown Hospital.
He was born April 24, 1931, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, a son of the late Maxwell and Lula M. (Hoffman) Fosselman. On Oct. 17, 1953, he married the former Martha A. Mengle, who survives. They celebrated more than 56 years of marriage.
In 1990, he retired as a machinist from Standard Steel, Burnham. He also along with his wife owned and operated a poultry farm.
He was a member of Niemonds Independent Church, Richfield, the Richfield Lions Club, and the United Steel Workers of America Local 1940.
William enjoyed hunting, spending time at his cabin in Heister Valley and going to the County Line Restaurant for coffee and to catch up on all of the local news. However his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Hornberger, of Richfield, Debra and Daryl Brubaker, of East Salem, Brenda and Randy Jones, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Karen Fosselman, of Selinsgrove, and Sheryl Walters and her companion, Barry Aucker, of Mount Pleasant Mills; one brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Ruth Ann Fosselman, of McAlisterville; nine grandchildren, Timothy Hornberger and his wife, Allison, Kevin Walters, Cody Jones, Jeffrey Brubaker, Beth Young and her husband, Matthew, Kristen Phillips and her husband, Steve, Kimberly Brubaker, Briana Fosselman and Leah Jones; two great-grandsons, Nicolas and Carter Young.
He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Neil A. Hornberger.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 7 to 9, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday followed by the funeral at 11, at the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with Pastor J. Arthur Mott officiating.
Interment will follow in the Richfield Cemetery, Richfield.
