MOORESBURG — One westbound lane of Interstate 80 was closed Friday due to two tractor-trailers colliding in Liberty Township, Montour County.

One of the drivers — Rogelio Ocasio, 64, of Brooksville, Fla., was taken to Geisinger Medical Center by Danville ambulance. State police at Milton said he suffered moderate injuries in the 1:18 a.m. Friday crash. A Geisinger spokesman reported he was treated in the hospital and discharged.

The other driver — Michael Baron, 37, of St. Clair Shores, Mich. — wasn’t hurt. Police said Baron was traveling east when his Freightliner went through the center median and struck the westbound Freightliner operated by Ocasio.

The Baron rig continued northwest off the road and overturned onthe north edge of the road. The Ocasio truck struck guardrails.

Assisting at the scene were the Liberty Township Fire Company, PennDOT and fire police.
