Four horses at SPCA need homes
DANVILLE — Four horses, from the Tiger Ranch cruelty case, are available for adoption at the Danville Adoption Center of the Pennsylvania SPCA.
The horses are all Percherons. The black stallion is named Big Daddy; a gray mare is Bella and two other black mares are Tinkerbelle and Blackie.
The shelter also has dogs in need of homes including Gene Simmons who was a stray found in the Millville area, is eager to learn and is very friendly.
A Labrador mix, he is 1-year-old and believed to be housebroken.
Other dogs include a black female Doberman Pinscher mix named Surely; Pokie, a black and white male Pit Bull mix; a small Lab mix male; Chief, a male Siberian Husky mix; a 5-month-old male Pug; a male German Shepherd mix; Casear, a male Chow mix; Jack, a small Terrier mix; Rico, a brindle Pit Bull; Teddy, a Labrador mix; Max, a black German Shepherd; a male Beagle; Soma, tan Pit Bull; Buddy, a 7-month-old Shepherd mix; and Filomena, a Lab mix female and housebroken.
Cats include Kitty, a female tiger; Clifford, black and white; Sarah, a tuxedo pattern black and white; Kitty, a male tiger; Tig Tig, a female tiger; Blackie, a female; Callie, a calico; Calvin, orange and white; Iddy, tiger and white; Romeo, tiger and white and neutered; Abbie, a spayed tiger; and kittens.
The no-kill shelter is featuring two for the price of one, meaning two kittens can be adopted for $75 or two cats can be adopted for $50.
The cost includes all shots, spay/neuter certificates and supplies provided with a regular adoption.
Animals can also be fostered for free as an option to adopting them.
The shelter, at 2801 Bloom Road, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Cats and dogs 2 and older are free to people 60 and older. Cats also can be adopted from PetSmart at Monroe Marketplace, near Selinsgrove.
