State police at Selinsgrove said Daniel L. Varner had sex with the girl, who is now 13, between June and October. He was charged with four counts each of rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. Mr. Varner was arraigned by District Judge Leo S. Armbruster and placed in the Snyder County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
