SELINSGROVE — The Friends of the Selinsgrove Community Library’s 2009 crock honors local fire companies and depicts the Dauntless Hook & Ladder Company’s headquarters around 1874.

The half-gallon canister, which has a bale handle, was designed by Rodney Ries.

A brochure containing a history of the Dauntless Hook & Ladder written by Donald Housley accompanies each crock.

Crocks are $42. Order forms are available at the Selinsgrove library.

Money raised through the sale of crocks and other friends’ fundraisers is used to enhance and expand the library’s collections, facilities, services and programs.
