— LAMAR - Two men died Thursday when they were struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 in Porter Township, Clinton County, according to state police at Lamar.

David Gallegos Flores, 29, and Jesus Chavez Jr., both of Baltimore, were walking on I-80 near Exit 173 at 2:55 a.m. when they were hit by a Freightliner driven by Carlos Freitas-Diaz, 41, of Arlington, N.J., according to police.

Flores and Chavez were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna. The cause of death for both was blunt force trauma.
