Students compete in band championships



DOVER, Del. — Marching bands from Milton, Mifflinburg and Shikellamy high schools finished in 6th, 13th and 17th places respectively out of 27 other bands at the Atlantic Coast Championships this weekend.

Mifflinburg finished with a score of 90.45, while Shikellamy earned an 88.05.

Milton earned a score of 82.95 in the Group 2 invitational category. Entering with an 8th place rank, the band raised their position by two spots.

The Atlantic Coast Championships featured performances from high school bands from nine states.

Mifflinburg has participated in the competition every year since 1998, while Milton returned after a 16-year drought.
