Step into the Italian countryside
Residents in Beavertown now can step into an Italian countryside while they dine on pizza pie. The Original Italian Pizza restaurant have transformed a wall of their pizzeria into a nearly 10 foot mural by local freelance artist Valerie Moyer. Moyer, a local freelance artist, was recruited by owners Todd Reich, John Eisenheart and Francesco “Frank” Failla who rents the building. Moyer said the mural painted on the west side of the dining area “depicts a scene of a rural northern Tuscan landscape complete with villas, vineyards, winding roads that are accented with cedar trees and sun drenched rolling hills whole thing viewed from inside tripled arched painted windows in a traditional Tuscan home.” Moyer said she used various sources for inspiration to create the mural over three weeks. -- Midd-West high school students will participate in an art and technology expo Friday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Midd-West high school.
