SHAMOKIN DAM – Three people were sent to the hospital after a three car accident caused by a naked woman driving the wrong way on Routes 11-15 Thursday morning.
Police said the accident occurred when Susan Shuman, 64, of New Bloomfield, was driving a Dodge Caliber north in the southbound lanes of traffic just south of the Veterans Memorial Bridge overpass, near the Shamokin Dam water tower.
The Dodge hit a Chevy Equinox driven by Lori Knowlden, of Trout Run, before hitting a center concrete barrier and crashing into a Hummer driven by Fred Grunsby Sr. of Muncy Valley.
Shuman, who witnesses said was completely naked, was taken to Geisinger Medical Center, along with the passenger of the Hummer, and Grunsby.
Shamokin Dam Fire Co., Hummels Wharf Fire Co., Americus Ambulance, EMTS Ambulance and Shamokin Dam Police responded.
