DANVILLE — Former president Bill Clinton applauded Geisinger Health System for progress made in its healthcare information/technology department.
Clinton was the keynote speaker at the annual Healthcare Information and Management System conference, held this year in New Orleans from March 3 to March 7.
“He cited progress made by organizations like Geisinger Health System for leveraging healthcare IT to create evidence-based care delivery,” said Geisinger public relations specialist Mike Ferlazzo at the March 27 meeting of the Geisinger Authority board.
“The whole promise of information technology is that we can manage data in ways we never could before to figure out what we’re doing, so that we don’t have unexamined lives of unexamined healthcare systems,” said Clinton, according to an article published on www.Healthcare-Informatics.com.
