DANVILLE — DANVILLE – The Danville Business Alliance (DBA) will host a public meeting in Danville Borough Council chambers at 6 p.m. April 23 to give the community an opportunity to contribute ideas and designs for the next mural to be painted this summer in downtown Danville.
Those who cannot attend the meeting are invited to submit their ideas, concepts, sketches or drawings on Facebook through the DBA website, www.visitdanvillepa.org, or by email at email@example.com. All ideas and designs will be considered.
The mural site will be north wall of Royal Nails, at 347 Mill St. and facing Route 11. Funding is being generously provided by grants from Merck Pharmaceuticals, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Service 1st Federal Credit Union and Bloomsburg University, said DBA Executive Director Jim Wilson.
There will also be opportunities for community involvement when the mural is painted. As happened with the first mural in 2009, the DBA is planning to invite volunteers to participate in community painting days. Those who are interested in being painting volunteers may contact the DBA by email, Facebook, or by calling the DBA office at 284-4502. Painting days will be announced at a later date.
