DANVILLE — DANVILLE – The Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau have unveiled their Joint Governmental Affairs Web site www.ColumbiaMontourVoice.com.
The Joint Governmental Affairs (JGA) committee is an advocacy-focused partnership of the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau. Via a model grassroots advocacy process the JGA Committee seeks to influence decision-makers and prompt actions that contribute to the benefit of their collective membership and the communities that they serve.
The JGA committee is comprised of: Paul Eyerly IV of The Press Enterprise; Fred Gaffney of the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce; Oren Helbok of the Moose Exchange; Mary Lenzini Howe of Geisinger Bloomsburg Health System; Otto Kurecian of the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau; Jim Nemeth of Autoneum North America; Bob Stoudt of the Montour Area Recreation Commission and Jim Wilson of the Danville Business Alliance
The committee will address issues that have a direct impact on the business community in Columbia and/or Montour counties. Issues may be central to specific members or member niches. One of the key components of the new Web site is that it provides the necessary tools that allow individuals to reach out to their elected officials. Gaffney pointed out critical to the success of the new JGA Web site will be the committee’s commitment to address issues which have a direct impact on the communities served by the chamber and visitors bureau.
The chamber and the visitors bureau worked with dual-member Summit Design Studio of Bloomsburg in developing the website.
