DANVILLE — Members of the school board voted at their April 9 meeting to approve a robotics course summer camp for incoming students in grades 4, 5 and 6, at a cost of $50 per student. The district can break even on costs for the camp provided it can recruit at least 30 students, said Superintendent Cheryl Latorre.
The board also approved the purchase of two used club cars, at a cost of $2,600, to be used for transporting athletic personnel and equipment. The money will come from budgeted funds and will replace the Gator vehicle proposed in the district’s original budget. This is a cost savings of $14,500.
