DANVILLE — The Montour County commissioners approved budget revisions for a pool accessibility project for the disabled, sidewalks and sewage facility improvements with Community Development Block Grant funds from fiscal years 2010 through 2012.
The more than $452,000 had been allocated to other projects but wasn’t spent. The commissioners approved the modifications following a public hearing Tuesday. No one objected to the changes.
They approved $28,322 from 2010 and $76,678 from 2011 for a zero-entry ramp for the handicapped at the Sunnybrook Park swimming pool in Valley Township. The commissioners noted the pool is used by people from throughout the county and beyond.
The money had been allocated for Valley Township wastewater treatment plant improvements.
The commissioners also reallocated $23,322 from 2011 for Market Street sidewalks in Washingtonville.
They approved $163,449 from 2012 for Crawford Road and a bridge reconstruction. They also approved an allocation of $33,500 from 2012 for pump station improvements in Washingtonville and $115,000 for sewage treatment facility improvements in Washingtonville. Another $14,949 from that year will go toward Church Street sidewalks or Grape Alley reconstruction in Washingtonville.
