Bus route changes to avoid blind curve

DANVILLE — A school district bus route will be changing for safety reasons. Bus number 53 normally stops at the intersection of Center and Pine streets, however a nearby blind curve makes it difficult for oncoming drivers to see students, according to the district. The morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off point will be changed starting on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to the intersection of Center and Upper Mulberry Streets. The exception will be Danville High School and Danville Middle School students on bus 53, who will continue to be dropped off at Memorial Park after school as usual.
