DANVILLE — A two car crash on Jerseytown Road sent a man and an unidentified woman to Geisinger Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash occurred outside Faust Electric Motor Repair, at 225 Jerseytown Road. A pick-up truck driven by Rodney Bucher, of Lewisburg’s Orchard Pump and Supply Co., was turning into Faust’s to deliver a motor when it collided with a yellow sedan operated by a female driver, according to Officer Jared Reichenbach of the state police at Milton.

Both were taken to Geisinger Medical Center following the crash, which occurred around 3:05 p.m.

Reichenbach’s preliminary investigations suggests that Bucher failed to yield right of way while turning into Faust’s.

Bucher was reported to be able to walk following the accident.

Bucher was identified by Ivan Faust, owner of Faust Electric Motor Repair. He did not see the crash, but heard it from his store.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Traffic was reduced to one lane in front of Faust’s.

Also responding to the accident were Valley Township Fire Department, Liberty Township Fire Department and Danville Fire Police. Lackawanna Ambulance, which was passing by the scene, was reported to have stopped and offered medical assistance while waiting for Danville Ambulance to arrive.
