COVERED BRIDGE FESTIVAL/Elysburg

The 32nd annual covered bridge and arts festival held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Event features more than 350 crafters and 35 food vendos. Zumba Gold will take place under pavilion H from 10-11 a.m., Jay Vonada will perform from 2-4 p.m.

TOWN HALL MEETING/Watsontown

Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) hosts a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. at the Warrior Run Fire Company, 1125 Main St.  at the Snydertown LECTURE/Williamsport

Frederic Block, senior U.S. district judge, Eastern District of New York, will speak at Lycoming College as part of the 15th annual Larry Strauser Lectureship in Criminal Justice at 4 p.m. in Honors Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Friday, Oct. 4,, Danville Region

COVERED BRIDGE FESTIVAL/Elysburg

The 32nd annual covered bridge and arts festival continues 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Event features more than 350 crafters and 35 food vendors. The Banjo Man (Jim Haner) will perform from 10 a.m.-noon, Jay Smar (country and folk songs) 12:30-2:30 p.m. and Mike Lewis (country) from 3-5 p.m.

CHICKEN BREAST DINNER/Milton

A filled chicken breast dinner held from 4-6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish Center. Cost is $9 for adults, $6 for ages 6-10, and free for children under 6. Takeouts available. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Council 4824. More information, (5790) 523-1790.

FLU CLINIC/Turbotville

Evangelical Community Hospital’s Health and Wellness hold a flu clinic from 7-10 a.m. at the Turbotville Community Hall, 41 Church St. Vaccinations are available to individuals 3 years of age and older. Cost for a flu shot is $30 and pneumonia vaccines are available for an additional $65. Bring insurance cards. In addition to the clinic appointments, can be made at the health and wellness center at 7095 W. Branch Highway, from 9 a.m.-noon Mondays, noon-4 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m.-noon or 1-3 p.m. Fridays.
