Initially 1,519 customers lost power but because of remote sectionalizing of service, the numbers were reduced with all service restored by 9:02 a.m.
PPL crews responded and secured the area for safety, said Teri MacBride, PPL regional affairs director. Electric service was rerouted using other circuits.
PPL crews remained to replace the pole and repair the lines.
As of 10 a.m., crews were still working to replace the pole with assistance by the Washingtonville Fire Company.
