BLOOMSBURG — Geisinger has announced a renovation to Bloomsburg Hospital which will see a new neurology clinic added to the facility.
The addition, which will be installed in a currently vacant floor of the building, will cost approximately $370,000, said Robert Davies, chief support services officer at Geisinger Health System, at the Aug. 28 meeting of the Geisinger Authority Board.
The clinic is expected to open in January. Geisinger neurology doctors will see patients at both Danville’s Geisinger Medical Center and Bloomsburg Hospital.
Geisinger and Bloomsburg Hospital merged in July of 2012.
Davies also reported that construction is proceeding on Geisinger Medical Center’s new clinical lab, with building walls recently being erected around its perimeter. The $52 million, 115,000 square foot lab will be located north of the Hospital for Advanced Medicine.
