Riverside bird feeders damaged by bear over weekend
RIVERSIDE – A bear sighted in the borough over the weekend resulted in three damaged bird feeders but no other property damage or injuries.
Corporal Kerry Parkes, of the Riverside Police Department, said three feeders were damaged, one along the river, another near Avenue B and Fourth Avenue, and the third along Meadowlark Lane. A neighbor on Avenue D reported seeing the bear near Meadowlark Lane, Parkes said.Continued ...
