DANVILLE – People from six homes were evacuated today following the rupture of a two-inch natural gas line.
The rupture was caused while a contractor for the borough was working on a storm drain, said Danville Fire Chief Tom Kline.
The incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. along Faust Street which was blocked off to traffic.
UGI was called to shut off the gas, Kline said.
