DERRY TWP. – A PennDOT maintenance crew will begin paving a section of Route 254 in Derry Township on May 19, weather permitting.
The two-day project will run from the intersection of Route 54 in Washingtonville to just beyond Steffens Road.
Traffic will be detoured from about 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. using Route 54, Route 1002 (Strawberry Ridge), and Route 1007 (Diehl Road).
In conjunction with that project, the maintenance crew will pave Route 1003 (PPL Road) during two days beginning May 21, weather permitting.
A local detour will be in effect from about 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. using Strawberry Ridge Road and Route 54. PennDOT will allow truck deliveries and employees access to the United States Gypsum plant.
School buses will not be required to use the detours for either project, but should use them to avoid delays.
