Father's Day river paddling trip to benefit Montour Area Recreation Commission

— DANVILLE – A 10 mile canoe and kayak cruise will be held this Father’s Day along a stretch of the North Branch of the Susquehanna River between Danville and Bloomsburg.

The trip, hosted by Canoe Susquehanna, will benefit the Montour Area Recreation Commission. The voyage will start at 1 p.m., June 15, at the downtown Danville river access on River Drive, and end at 6 p.m.

Stops along historical canal features are included in the trip. The cost is $55 a person or $45 if a traveler brings their own gear. The cost can be reduced by another $6 if a person brings along their father or is a father to someone for a day.
