MAHONING TWP. – A woman whose car struck a van and stopped in front of Bush Pavilion at Geisinger Medical Center Thursday was treated in Geisigner and released.
A hospital spokeswoman said Friday Jean Forney, 85, of Danville, had been released following the 10:15 a.m. crash.
Her Plymouth Acclaim hit the van which was waiting to unload with no one in the van hurt.
The van that was struck was owned by a visitor. It was in the valet lane and ahead of Forney’s car at the time.
The car ran up over the curb and struck hospital property.
Mahoning Township Police Chief Robert Blee Jr. continues to investigate how the accident occurred.
The main damage to Geisigner property was the curb, ledge and column in front of Bush Pavilion.
Geisigner’s facilities team arrived immediately to evaluate the structural damage, hospital spokesman Michael Ferlazzo said Friday.
