Busy Little Beaver Pre=K students graduate

DANVILLE — Some tears were shed when baby pictures were shown of each of the 19 Pre-K graduates.

“I’ll have to bring tissues next year,” Busy Little Beavers Director Jennifer Enterline told the audience which filled the multi-purpose room of the Danville Primary School on Wednesday night.

Nineteen 5-year-olds graduated from the Pre K program which prepares them for kindergarten in the fall.

In giving the welcome, Pre K Teacher Mary John said the children have learned, laughed and loved the past nine months. “It has been our privilege and joy to see your little ones grow and learn. Now is the time to move on as they are prepared to enter kindergarten,” she said.

Wearing white caps and gowns, the graduates stood on stage performing songs that make them giggle along with songs about heading to kindergarten.

Enterline presented each with a diploma while Teachers Assistant Nicole Morgan helped the pint-sized graduates adjust their tassels.

They marched in and out of the room to “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Many family members in the audience photographed and videoed the events.

This is the third year for the commencement since the Pre K program was started three years ago.

Following the ceremony, they celebrated with a special cake.

Members of the Class of 2014 are Adam Bartosic, Damian Beardsley, MaKenna Bridges-Colfer, Kade Costello, Shiloh Cote, Alexis Day, Griffin Gallo, Ryan Havery, Reinald Moody III, Aaron Parker, Olivia Poe, Arianna Sheatler, Dylan Sherman, Elizabeth Strutton, James Studebaker, Thomas Trelease, Chloe Tyson, Andrew Yost and Carly Zimmerman.
