Detours for race and Spring Fling

DANVILLE – The Montour Area Recreation Commission has announced traffic detours to be in effect May 3 for the River Towns Marathon and Half Marathon and the Danville Business Alliance’s Spring Fling.  The following detours and closures will be in effect:

River Drive and Legion Road, between Clinic Road in Mahoning Township, Montour County and PA-42 in Montour Township, Columbia County will be closed to through traffic from 7:00am to 1:00pm.  A detour of Clinic Road, US-11 and PA-42 will be posted.

Mill Street in Danville, from Route 11 to Front Street, will be closed to all traffic from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Because of the road closures, a portion of E Front St, between Mill St and Ferry St, will be made two-way.  Portions of several additional roads will also be closed and/or have parking restrictions for the event.
