Voters to choose November hopefuls Tuesday

DANVILLE — Voters in Montour County will choose candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and to represent the 11th Congressional District and  107th District of the state House of Representatives in Tuesday’s primary election.

Also listed on the Republican and Democratic ballots are a position for state committee and local committee representatives.

On the Republican ballot, Gov. Tom Corbett, of Allegheny County, is seeking nomination by his party.

Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley, of Bucks County, is running for the Republican nomination.

Lou Barletta, of Luzerne County, is seeking the Republican nomination to again represent the 11th District.

Kurt A. Masser, of Northumberland County, is running for his party’s nomination to continue to represent the 107th District.

Republican Harold Hurst, of Cooper Township, is running for state committee.

Other Republicans are running as committee people in townships and boroughs.

On the Democratic ballot, Tom Wolf, of York County; Robert M. McCord, of Montgomery County; Katie McGinty, of Chester County; and Allyson Y. Schwartz, of Montgomery County, are running for governor.

Seeking the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor are Mike Stack, of Philadelphia County; Mark Critz, of Cambria County; Mark Smith, of Bradford County; Brandon P. Neuman, of Washington County; and Brad Koplinski, of Dauphin County.

Andy Ostrowski, of Dauphin County, seeks his party’s nomination to represent the 11th Congressional District.

No Democrat is listed as running for the 107th District or for state committee.

Other Democrats seek to serve as committeemen and committeewomen in townships and boroughs.
