Cab and flatbed end up in Derry Twp. yard

WASHINGTONVILLE – A flatbed driver said he swerved to avoid deer, ending up in the front yard of a Derry Township man.

Dewanlall Khublla, of Jersey City, N.J., was headed to Washingtonville to pick up a load of drywall from the US Gypsum plant when the crash occurred past the Washingtonville Hill at the home of Bill Lambert at 1509 Continental Blvd. or Route 54.

As he avoided the deer, the truck ran off the side of the road and a tire blew.

Khuballa told a Danville Ambulance Service official his back hurt.

The truck struck a bush on the Lambert property with the front tire and front axle damaged.
