Decorations inadvertently removed

DANVILLE — DANVILLE – Members of the odd Fellows Cemetery of Danville wish to apologize to all families who placed Christmas wreaths or decorations at family stones in the cemetery which were inadvertently removed by two individuals who volunteered to clean up dried flowers and other debris in the cemetery. Cemetery personnel were no in any way involved in this clean-up.

The piles of debris have been sorted through and any artificial or reusable wreaths have been removed and placed on a tarp near the maintenance building for people to recover.

As a gesture of goodwill, the Odd Fellows Cemetery will reimburse any family a maximum of $25 to replace their loss or damage to artificial decorations. They can call superintendent Fred Dewald at the cemetery office at 570-275-2901 and give their name, address, phone number and value of their loss. The phone also has an answering machine, according to the board of director of the cemetery.
