Schools helped by Giant Foods

DANVILLE – Area schools received a total of $9,182 from Giant Foods’ A+ School Rewards Program Wednesday.

St. Joseph School, of Danville, was presented with a check for $4,293 from Mike Webb, non-perishables manager of the Danville Giant Foods.

Meadowbrook Christian School of Milton, represented by Administrator Rod Baughman, received $980.

Chris Johns, Liberty-Valley Intermediate School principal, received a check for $1,321.

The Danville Primary School also received $2,588 from the program from Webb.

Giant contributes 1 penny for every dollar spent by a customer who signs up for the program and uses his or her bonus card. If someone spends $100, Giant will contribute $1 to a school, Webb said.
