Police: Crowbar used to smash car windows

DERRY TWP. — A Derry Township woman allegedly used a crowbar to break windows in a vehicle, resulting in nearly $2,000 in damage.

State police at Milton charged Danielle R. Doone, 36, of 115 Blue Springs Terrace, with criminal mischief of the 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee owned by Heidi M. Hall May 29 at Doone’s home.

Hall told police she allowed Don Hall, Doone’s live-in boyfriend, to use the Jeep.

When police arrived, Doone was walking by and said she had no idea what happened and denied breaking the windows.

Matthew Ackley, who lives across the street, heard the noise and saw Doone breaking the windows. He told police he knew her.

Police said damage totaled $1,976.
