— DANVILLE – The estate of attorney Arthur Peters has donated $750,000 to the Danville Area School District to be used for scholarships. District officials will be meeting with the Peters estate in the near future to discuss how to best use the money, according to district superintendent Cheryl Latorre.

Tickets on sale for Danville Arts Council fundraiser
DANVILLE – Tickets for the Danville Arts Council’s April 7 fundraiser and mixer are now on sale to the public at the cost of $20 each.
The tickets can be bought at the Danville Business Alliance’s Mill Street office and will cover appetizers and two drinks.

Police say distracted driver caused 2-car crash in Point Township
POINT TWP – Two women were sent to Geisinger Medical Center following a two car crash at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Point Township Drive, just past the Northumberland county line.
Chief Josh Vankirk, of the Point Township Police Department, said both vehicles were traveling at normal speeds but declined to release the names of the two women involved.
