— RIVERSIDE – Borough police have reported one theft from a vehicle that is still open from the month of January. A total of 59 incidents took place during the month plus a response to a suicidal juvenile. Cleared incidents include a credit card theft, a domestic citation and a stalking and terroristic threats charge.

Route 54 tractor trailer crash injures one
DANVILLE – A crash with a tractor trailer off Route 54 sent a Danville woman to the hospital and temporarily closed down part of Liberty Valley Road.
Dolores Bickhart, 78, of Danville, was taken to Geisinger Medical Center after the tractor trailer driven by Scott Reichenbach, of Bloomsburg, pulled in front of her to make a turn, according to trooper Chad Rarig, from the Milton barracks of the state police.

School board fires Liberty Valley aide
DANVILLE – Members of the Danville school board voted to terminate the contract of Liberty Valley aide Adam Jones at their March 11 meeting. The firing is effective immediately.
Board president Allan Schappert said the board could not provide additional comment on the firing of Jones.
