Soup, subs and baked goods

DANVILLE — DANVILLE – Holy Family Convent will be selling homemade soups, tuna salad subs and ham and cheese subs along with homemade baked goods Wednesdays during Lent.

Beginning March 5 and continuing Wednesdays through April 16, two different homemade soups will be available along with the subs.

Orders can be placed in advance by calling the kitchen at 570-275-3141. Baked goods can be purchased by calling Sister Martina at 717-982-1604 or 570-275-3141.

Hours for purchase and pickup are noon to 4 p.m. Signs will be posted indicating use of the kitchen entrance for service.

The convent is located off Route 11 and behind CVS Shopping Center.

Proceeds will be used to offset the cost of operating the convent which is a home for elderly nuns from the Sisters of Christian Charity.
