Reindeer, 12-foot Santa set up for disabled family member

MAHONING TWP. — A family has set up a large holiday display so a woman in a wheelchair can see it from the living room window.

“We started Sunday afternoon and finished at 10 p.m.,” said Tina Koser. She and her husband, Tracey Koser, did the work in front of and alongside their home at 102 H. Eyer Road.

They were motivated by Robert Cromis, who had set up a display for Tracey Koser’s mother, Kathleen English, who is disabled, during past Christmases. Cromis is English’s boyfriend. He and English live with the Kosers.

“These are brand new,” Tina said of the inflatable large characters.

The Kosers, who moved to their house in June, have 11 inflatables set up.

They include a reindeer whose head moves, a moose with a head moving back and forth, a candy cane archway, a train, a carousel, a polar bear, a 12-foot-tall Santa, a rocking Santa, snowmen and penguins, a pink pig and reindeer looking out of their  stable.

“At night it looks like snow is falling on the house,” Tina said. They also have white lights around the house.

“Last night people were going by real slow,” she said Monday.

She said they may add more figures to the yard display.
