Garage fire ruled unsuspicious

VALLEY TWP. — A state police fire marshal has ruled the cause of a fire that destroyed a Valley Township garage as undetermined.

Tpr. Kirk Renn, of the Milton barracks, visited the scene Monday following the fire that broke out at 7:10 p.m. Sunday.

Valley Township Fire Chief Mike Kull said the cause is not considered to be suspicious.

The loss was insured and Renn and Kull didn’t estimate the damage.

The garage, which was used for storage and could hold one car, was owned by Richard Stine Jr. of 70 Creek Road, Kull said.

Kull said a nearby half-dome structure, with plastic on top, had some damage.

Tools and a four-wheeler were destroyed in the garage that didn’t have electricity.

Responding besides the Valley Township company were fire companies from Liberty Township, Mahoning township and Danville, a Danville ambulance and area fire police.
