Danville code enforcer gets new title

DANVILLE — Jackie Hart has a new job description.

Previously Danville’s code enforcement administrator, her new title is director of code and building development.

The Danville Borough Council also approved her salary Tuesday night at $64.700.

The job description was changed because of additional responsibilities taken on by the department which has changed in the past two to three years, said Borough Manager Shannon Berkey.

Besides handling inspections and code matters in Danville, the office has a contract with Riverside for its blighted properties.

Hart also can do electrical inspections in any municipality.

She reviews, organizes and runs zoning hearings and works with the Historical Architectural Review Board and takes minutes at its meetings.

Hart supervises code enforcement officer Bill Brady.
