Mr. Dent to open up branch in Danville

DANVILLE — Partly in response to the May 22 hail storm that damaged hundreds of vehicles in the area, a Mr. Dent shop will expand to a location along Rooney Avenue behind the Danville Municipal Building.

The business will rent the former site of Jordan’s Plumbing and Heating which moved to a new building off East Market Street. Jason Morrison, owner of Mr. Dent in Manheim, anticipates the business opening June 9 or 10.

“We have quite a few vehicles to work on. Hail is one of our specialties,” he said of their paint-less dent removal process.

He expects a handful of employees to begin working there, including two employees, who lived in the Danville area, and have friends and family in the area.

“It depends upon what our need is and the amount of space we have,” he said. “We’re excited to get up that way.”

They will lease the space with an option to buy. “As long as it is good within the next year, we expect to purchase the space,” he said.

He said his company works with insurance companies, individuals, other companies, other body shops and dealerships.

“In Manheim, we work with a few hundred auto dealerships,” he said.

Mr. Dent has been located in Manheim for 20 years.
