Riverside expects healthcare savings to beat back budget deficit
RIVERSIDE – While the borough’s approved final budget for 2014 has a deficit of $27,895, the borough will actually save at least $28,000 for the year through new health plan deals.
In addition, taxes will not be raised in the borough next year.
School district insurance coverage costs expected to increase by 10 percent
DANVILLE – Increases in school district health insurance plans will result in an approximately 10 percent raise in total coverage costs for the 2013-2014 school year.
The estimated cost for health insurance for the 2013-2014 school year $3.266 million, according to district business manager Janis Venna.
