SUNBURY -- For the second time in just over two months fire destroyed a Market Street business.
Fire broke out at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in the 500 block of Market Street about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters from various communities were still battling the blaze at 9 p.m.
Fire personnel from Snyder, Union and Northumberland counties were on the scene.
On Feb. 20, fire destroyed the Peppermint Lounge in the 700 block of Market Street. That blaze caused an estimated $750,000 in damages. Investigators said an electrical problem likely sparked that fire.
More information on the Salvation Army Thrift Store fire will be posted as it becomes available.
