Five hurt in crash

LEWISBURG -- Five people were believed to be injured in a two-car crash around 9:30 p.m. Friday in East Buffalo Township, Union County.
A Ford Escape LTD pulled out of Stadium Boulevard onto Route 15 and in front of a Mercedes-Benz 300 Turbo Diesel station wagon, East Buffalo Township police said.
Northbound traffic on Route 15 was diverted onto Stadium Boulevard while fire and rescue personnel cleaned the roadway of debris.
Southbound traffic was reduced to one lane.
The extent of the injuries to the two drivers and to passengers was uavailable.
Ambulances from Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, transported victims to the emergency room.
Assisting East Buffalo Township police were fire and rescue personnel from the Lewisburg, Warrior Run and Mifflinburg fire departments.
