Deck the Halls Workshop A Success

— MIFFLINBURG — Kelsey’s Dream founder, Kylie Kuhns, and volunteers Katie Alexander and Maddie Miller, helped make the Deck the Halls Workshop on Nov. 23, a success. The three girls happily served lunch to all guests and Kuhns opened the event by updating attendees on what is happening with Kelsey’s Dream and Hopper the Cancer Crusher.

Country Farm & Home’s Keith Phelps was pleased to once again co-host the event benefitting Kelsey’s Dream, specifically Hopper. A great turnout of guests enjoyed food and holiday decorating demonstrations by Phelps and other local decor pros. Everyone got into the holiday spirit and was inspired by the early success of, and future goals for, Hopper.

Thanks to your donations, Hopper is ready to be distributed to pediatric oncology hospitals on the East Coast. The ultimate goal is to place the friendly, fluffy, Hopper in the arms of every newly diagnosed child. Equipped with his own chemotherapy port, doctors can demonstrate the process on Hopper in hopes of alleviating fear in these brave, young patients. Continual funding is needed; but with your help, this goal is possible.
