— MIFFLINBURG -- Come “Dig Into Reading” at the Mifflinburg Community Park this Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. as the Public Library of Union County kicks off its children’s summer reading program with a nod to the county’s 200th birthday celebration.
There will be hot dogs, chips and a drink to enjoy while kids explore stations that “dig” into history, treasure, “the dirt,” animals that dig and burrow, and vehicles and people who dig for a living.
Singer and songwriter Steven Courtney will lend a hand with a free concert.
For this event, children may sign up to participate in the Dig Into Reading program for the Herr Memorial Library in Mifflinburg, the Public Library of Union County in Lewisburg or the West End Library in Laurelton.
