LEWISBURG — Slifer House Museum will resume its schedule for guided tours, 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, beginning April 15 at 80 Magnolia Drive on the campus of RiverWoods.
Slifer House Museum is a grand Victorian mansion built by Eli Slifer as a country estate for his family. Slifer achieved prominence as a politician, ultimately serving as the Secretary of Pennsylvania during the Civil War. The house opened to the public as a museum in 1976 and since that time, has been furnished with appropriate decorative arts from the Victorian Era including some artifacts from the Slifer and Ross families.
